Dr. Jeff Johnson
Senior Pastor
Tel: 804-908-2730
Email: revjjj@hotmail.com
Dr. Johnson came to Hunton Baptist Church to serve as senior pastor in July, 2002. He studied at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Ministry from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Richmond, VA. Dr. Johnson's previous ministry places include Mount Zion Baptist Church, Oak Park, VA, Liberty Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA, Mount Gilead Baptist Church, VA, and Thaxton Baptist Church, VA.
Under Dr. Johnson's leadership our church is continuing to grow, both in
numbers and in spiritual maturity. He encouraged the church to add a
contemporary early morning worship service, which continues to meet the
needs of those who attend. In addition to orchestrating two
Sunday morning services, Dr. Johnson leads an adult study on Sunday
nights. During the week, much of Dr. Johnson's time is spent caring for
the needs of his flock through pastoral care visits. |

Vi White
Secretary
Tel: (804) 266-0100
Email: office@huntonbc.org
Vi joined our staff as a fill-in secretary in November of 1997. In January of 1998, she became our regular part-time secretary. She came with a lot of experience having served as secretary at Winn’s Baptist Church for 20 years, working afternoons. For 14 years she also served as secretary at Shalom Baptist Church, working in the mornings.
Vi and her husband Russ moved to Virginia in 1971 from the state of Maine.
They had an opportunity to move back to Maine in 1978, but decided the South was where their hearts were happiest. They have three married daughters and six wonderful grandchildren. A note of interest -- their oldest daughter married the youngest son of the pastor who led their whole family to Christ. |
