| Wednesday Evenings Below is an overview of some of the opportunities offered on Wednesday
evenings at Hunton Baptist Church. These events are subject to change from
week to week, so please check our Bulletin
and Calendar for current schedule.
The Ministry of Prayer:
|
7:00 p.m. |
|
James 5:13-16: 13Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
14Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
On Wednesday evenings, a prayer group meets to discuss the prayer
concerns of the church body. The meeting begins with a brief
devotional to help us focus. As we pray as a group, each person at
the table has the opportunity to intervene through prayer for the
concerns we list. If you choose not to pray out loud, the next
person in the prayer group will continue the circle of prayer.
We welcome you to come join us! |
